Insert field custom in tab standard PPOME

$

Hi all,

i would like to insert a custom field in tab standard ADDRESS (IT 1028) in PPOME transaction

I have done this steps

1) Go to transaction PPCM and enter the infotype i.e. 1028.

2) Check the radio button "CI Include" and click on Create.

3) Now add the custom field which you want incide this CI include i.e CI_P1028. Activate the CI Include

4) Now come back to PPCM main screen and click on "All" button, this will generate the screen and module pool program.

5) The subscreen 200 will hold the new field and this will be available at the end of std. fields when you view in PPOME/PP01 tcode.

Configuracion1.jpg

To get the new field on the Address tab, copy the function group SAPLRHADDRESS to a Z function group. Add your new field on the subscreen 401 of this function group. Get the field from the dictionary for adding.

Configuracion2.jpg

Now you need to configure this new Z function group in SPRO. Follow the below path for configuration,

SPRO --> Personnel Management --> Organizational Management --> Hierarchy Framework --> Integrate New Infotype --> Add Infotype as Tab page in Detail Area --> Add Your Own Tab Pages to an Existing Tab Page Group

In the Scenaio Defintion (Hierarchy Framwork) Choose OME0 (I presume you are using standard settings and this is for Organanization Unit view in PPOME). After Selection/highlighting the row for "OME0", click the "Tab Page in Scenario for each Object type" on the left side of the tree. Choose the record which has,

Scenario = 'OME0'

Obj. type = 'O'

Tab Page = 'ADDRESS'

Change the program name here to your new Z function group main program name and screen be as it is.

Configuracion3.jpg

However, in the t.code PPOME when I select a Organizational Unit , in the TAB Addrres not appear thecustom field

What is the reason ?

Thanks

Export Format Issue

0

I exported some data from a information space to .csv and the same to excel.

I notice for one of the columns where the data is stored with 4 decimal places, the one in .csv shows only 3 decimal places when i open it in notepad or excel.

The same data which i exported in excel shows 4 decimal places as stored in the database.

In the universe the object is formatted to show 4 decimal places.

I appreciate any reply for the mismatch of this behaviour.  My environment is BO 4.1 SP6 Patch 4.

Ayman,

To teach full functions Explorer will take about 3/4 to 1 full day.

Mobile will depends on what type of reports you will consume, currently Mobile supports Crystal, Dashboards, Design Studio, Explorer, Exploration Views, Lumira and WebI.  Also can integrate with Cloud solutions offered by SAP.

It will also depend on the level detail you will users to access in Mobile.  The Mobile training has a lot function that would take anywhere from 1 to 2 days to teach all the advanced options for all the tools listed above.

Re: change Max no of Rows shows for a particular query

Use "LIMIT n" as in

select COMP_CODE, CURRENCY from "SAPBWX"."/BI0/PCOMP_CODE"

where OBJVERS = 'A'

LIMIT 10

(I tried and it works - but it needs to tested on more complex sql statements)

This may help  if the query in question has less records than the maximum setting, not the other way around.

Fabio,

upgrade to 10.1, you'll have a newer looking admin console ... still no customization though! Also I'm hearing BPC 10.2 will have a Fiori looking interface ... so maybe wait with the upgrade

Hi Vinit,

In your TDMS system run t-code CNVMBTMON, select the package and go to troubleshooting.

Untitled.png

Select the option change write behaviorUntitled1.png

The failed object should appear here. You can then change the write behavior.

Make sure you don't change the Global Write Behavior.

Thanks,

Hi Jurgen,

I think my description was misguiding, please refer below-

Batches are set with restricted status, in such case MARD table should have an update in restricted column, but in this case it shows material in Unrestricted column.

MARD.PNG

however If you refer below MCHB table batches are displyed as restricted to use.

MCHB.PNG

Hope this is clear by now, it would be great if you can help in same with a correction program or anything else.

is there a possibility to avoid the screen output in WDDOMODIFYVIEW?

Hello Richard,

There could be version incompatibality but you could be able to add requuest to the import quesue at least.

Can you send the transport logs and TMS Alerts?

How can you add the transport request? Manually or from extras menu?

What is the return code? 04,08,12?

SAP Purchase Order - Pickup vs Delivery

hello,

When we buy product from the vendors, some times we would like to pick up the product ourselves and sometimes we let the vendor deliver to our plants.

Can you please tell what is the standard SAP process to handle this and what fields can i use on purchase order to identify whether it's a pickup vs a delivery?

Hi Eng Swee,

ALEAUD acknowledgement only works for positive acknowledgement and communication failures. It does not work for mapping failures.

@Rakesh,

Were you able to achieve this requirement?

Re: Performance Impact : Reporting on BW Query Vs  Reporting Generated HANA View

$

Hi Prashanth,

Consuming BEX Queries will drive you through BW. Thus, authentication and authorization will be held there for most of the infoproviders used.

BEx Queries are generally more flexible than HANA information models. For example BW exits, BADis, replacement path, cells, conditions, BW cache, formula exception aggregation, etc etc are not native to HANA and would require further implementation if you decide to skip BW.

Also, the BW olap engine benefits from the HANA/TREX api for enhanced query performance (see fems processing for example).

On the other hand, generating and consuming BW models as views on HANA allows more freedom in reporting since you don't have to go through all the entire spectrum of BEx Query development. It surely allows quicker approaches to check your data.

Also, if there's a tool that does not interact with BW (for whatever reason) and you can use HANA ODBC/ODBO/JDBC connection on it you can still access BW data (given the proper authentications/authorizations) from outside BW.

I'm sure there are other scenarios for generated views from BW but that's what I can think of for now.

I hope that helps.

BRs,

Lucas de Oliveira
